History tells us that the Macedonians descended from Upper Macedonia, crossed the Vermio and Aliakmon rivers, and made Aigai their capital. In Mieza, Alexander the Great was taught by Aristotle, in Vergina he experienced the death of his father, in Pella he reigned, and in Dion he sacrificed to the Olympian gods before departing on his great campaign. All these places, with their modern archaeological finds and the magnificent landscapes of Imathia, are presented in this album.
