The geographical boundaries of Preveza Municipality are marked by watery elements.
To the north, the gorge of the mythical Acheron River, where the “Gates of Hades” are found. To the east, the Louros river waters the fertile fields and riparian forests, and connects via its delta to the Ambracian gulf; a marine paradise where dolphins play, and wading, migratory birds dot the gulf’s waters in many colours. To the west, the blue Ionian sea with its sandy and clean beaches can be found. In this lowest cape of Epirus, Preveza emanates vibes of an island town, with its shapes, colours, houses, churches, historical centre, coast and most importantly, with the hearts of its inhabitants.
