At the Philoxenia 2007 tourism fair in Thessaloniki, the photography exhibition “Evros – The Silk Road” was presented. Its starting point was Soufli and its centuries-old silk tradition, through which not only the history and craftsmanship of this precious material were highlighted, but also the wider region of Evros. The photographic material connected the natural landscape with culture and production, portraying the area as a living part of the historic Silk Roads.
