The exhibition showcased 55 of the 350 portraits that were created in total. For months, the photographers followed the workers in the demanding environments of their labor, capturing moments of their daily efforts so that, alongside the project itself, the anonymous protagonists who made it possible would also be revealed. The choice of black and white emphasized the rough textures of both materials and faces, preventing the eye from being distracted by the vivid safety colors used in factories. Beneath the wide Balkan horizon, the workers of Egnatia Odos S.A. were retracing the historic road of the Roman Empire, which once connected the outermost reaches of the known world.
